Trunk or Treat
Date: Friday, October 24th, time TBD
What is it?
Trunk or Treat is a Bentwood favorite — a free community event where kids and families come dressed in costumes for a frightfully fun time.
We are always looking for families, groups and local businesses to sign up to decorate a trunk. Each trunk has a theme with treats and an activity or game.
Penny Wars
Date: Early November
What is it?
Every fall, the PTA gathers monetary donations as part of our Attitude of Gratitude Fundraiser to help ensure families and students in need are able to have a delicious and filling holiday meal. This year's fundraiser will include a new event to get our Blue Jays involved — Penny Wars!
This will be a competition between grade levels with coins and paper money adding to or subtracting from totals. Additional information, including rules, will be shared with families in the future.

Tae Kwon Do Fundraiser
Date: Late January through early February
What is it?
The Bentwood PTA partners with our friends at Master H.C. Kim's World Class Tae Kwon Do Center so our Blue Jays have the chance to learn some basics of the Korean martial art. After lessons are complete, families are welcome to join us for a pizza party "graduation" at the dojang!
Adults' Night Out
Date: Saturday, February 28th, time TBD
What is it?
This event has evolved throughout the years. Previously known as Trivia Night and, last year, as Casino Night, it is an adults-only fundraising event that has historically included live and silent auctions as well as a raffle.
Previous items have included Chiefs memorabilia, Bentwood grade-wide art projects and even a signed Taylor Swift guitar.

Past Events
Color Fun Run
Date: Friday, October 3rd, throughout the school day with fundraising the week prior
What is it?
The Fun Run — now with color powder — is one of our major fundraising events for the year. Students and families gather donations in the week preceding the Run. Day-of, each grade has a designated run time and families are welcome and encouraged to come cheer them on. Students get a bracelet for each lap they run and a popsicle when they finish.

Chalk the Walk
Date: Tuesday, August 12th from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
What is it?
All Blue Jays and their families are invited to come fill the front entrance with colorful chalk masterpieces to welcome students back to school.
